Summer means a time to try something new, explore a fun spot, get to know our city a little better. There are lots of great summer movies, concerts, and museums in Jacksonville where you can take the kids for a show.

Beaches History Museum: The Beaches History Museum is always free for adults and children and has lots of fun exhibits for kids of all ages.

Kingsley Plantation: You can visit the Kingsley Plantation for free. Explore the grounds and be sure to pick up a Junior Ranger booklet for the kids.

Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville: Visit MOCA for free the first Wednesday of the month from 5-9pm. Library card holders can get free admission to MOCA on the last Friday of each month with a Jacksonville Library card.

The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens: Explore the Cummer Museum for free on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4-9pm. You can also visit for free on the first Saturday of the month and the third Saturday of the month.

Regal Summer Movie Express: Regal Cinemas will offer kid movies for just $1 at 10am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Regal Avenues and Regal River City Market Place. 

San Marco Theatre Summer Movies: Head to the San Marco Theatre on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a $6 combo that includes a film ticket, small popcorn, and small drink.

Sun-Ray Summer Kids Series: Wednesdays and Saturdays this summer at 11:30am enjoy a family friendly movie for just $3 per ticket at Sun-Ray Cinema. They’ll also have $3 sizes of pizza from pizza cave.

Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse: Back for 2021, Cinemark will offer $1.50 summer movies on Wednesdays.

Theaterworks: Enjoy free kid friendly shows from Theaterworks this summer. They are offering 4 different shows to choose from.

Town of Orange Park Reel Fun Night: Come out to Town Hall Park for free summer movies on May 21st, June 18th, July 16th and August 6th. Bring a blanket and enjoy food trucks and a movie with the family.

Jax Parks Summer Movies: Come out to Boone Park on May 14th for a free movie and popcorn. There will also be a free movie and popcorn on June 4th at Ed Austin Regional Park.

Jacksonville Beach Summer Movies: Head out to the Seawalk Pavilion on June 25th for a free showing of Jumanji.

Beach Concert in St. Augustine: Enjoy a free concert at the St. Augustine Pier every Wednesday at 6pm starting May 26th.

SeaWalk Music Festival: This family friendly event on June 12th and June 13th  showcases the regional music scene with crafts, food, and music.

St. Augustine Concerts: Come out to Concerts in the Plaza at the Plaza de la Constitución every Thursday starting at 7:00pm.

Summer Jazz Concerts at the Beach: On June 6th you can take the kids out to the Sea Walk Pavilion and enjoy some free music. Music start at 1:30pm
