Jillian is a New Englander at heart. Born in Jacksonville Beach, she grew up in Massachusetts but was beckoned back to Florida for a Disney World Internship. She returned to the beach in 2005 after graduating from Florida State. Ten years ago she opened her handmade & vintage collective shop, Sew Vicious, in Neptune Beach. Jillian raises chickens, is a passionate gardener, a DIYer, a thrift store junkie, a deal loving mama, and has several inspirational travel journals available on Amazon. Mattie co-leads a Daisy Troop and is very proud to be on PTA board. She cheers LOUDLY watching her daughter play ALL the sports. Mattie loves exploring Jax, especially in search of parks, coffee, cocktails and delish food. At home, she likes baking with her girls, dreaming of buying a fixer upper and covering it with #shiplap, and cropping messes out of her Instagram shots.

Carissa Neal {Writer}

Carissa, originally from California, just moved back to Jax about a year ago. She is a homeschool mom always on the hunt for new outdoor adventures with her family. If you can’t find her at the beach, she’s likely at one of Jax’s many parks or coffee shops sipping a matcha latte and chatting with friends. In the rare instances when she’s hanging out at home at home she’s either reading, meal prepping, or planning her next big outing. If you’d like to follow along with her family’s adventures, feel free to check out her Instagram profile here.
