National Parks

Jacksonville has several National Parks you can explore with the family. They offer spots for hiking, picnicking, forts, and Junior Ranger badges. Many of the National Park sites in North Florida are completely free to visit. One of our favorites is Fort Caroline National Monument. At this historic fort you can hike shaded trails, explore a small museum, and picnic by the river. Many people are familiar with the fort in downtown St. Augustine. Castillo de San Marcos is one of our biggest National Parks in the area. This site requires a small fee, but it’s worth it to see what’s inside.
