Outside this historic home, is a vintage English telephone booth, tables, flowers, and seasonal décor giving you a hint at what’s inside. The décor once you enter, is a mix of historic elegance and Wonderland whimsy. Lots of color, fake gold, rabbits everywhere, statues, murals and really, just fun.
More Than Just Tea
You can get standard tea service or fruity teas and beverages that will please everyone. Boba flights? They got it. Coffee flight more your thing? Yep, they have that too. Want the full tea service? Let them know in advance and they will have it all ready to go. They really have something for everyone.
Love avocado toast, but also want something different? The avocado toast flight does not disappoint. My daughter and I split it and it was enough for both of us and absolutely delicious. So much so, we got it again on our second trip. Nothing about it was basic. Pancetta & balsamic vinegar or street corn and cotija cheese, they have very creative takes on avocado toast that we loved.
If avocado toast isn’t your thing, they have egg sandwiches, paninis, bruschetta, French toast (with all kinds of flavors) and salads. So many things I wanted to try I really need to go with friends, all order something different and everyone share to be able to try it all.
Whether it’s a girls brunch day with your fellow moms, or an afternoon with your daughter all dressed up for the best tea party ever, The Modern Rose is perfect. Then you can easily walk a couple blocks to St George street to shop and explore.
