Blue By U Blueberry Farm consists of 3 acres of blueberry plants, hydroponic strawberry plants, a petting zoo, covered picnic tables, and butterfly house. Not only is Blue By U Farm a great spot for berries, but you can spend a good part of the day there exploring the farm, picnicking and petting animals.
Blueberry season typically runs from late April through early June, but crops depend on weather and amount of rainfall. The picking season for Blu By U Farm usually lasts 4-5 weeks so be sure to check their Facebook page for opening dates and times before heading out to the farm.
Blu By U Blueberry Farm is Family Friendly
Blu By U Blueberry Farm will provide you with bucket for picking and they do accept credit cards. The current price to pick your own blueberries is $4 per pound. Based on availability, they also offer already picked berries for $7 a pound. Their small country store also sells a variety of honey, soaps and other goodies.
Blueberry picking is fun for the whole family and kids are welcome at Blu By U Blueberry Farm. This is a working farm so you’ll want to make sure you supervise them closely. You’ll also want to make sure you bring some bottled water, snacks, and anything else you might need while you’re visiting. There are bathrooms available at the farm.
