Located off Phillips Highway, is a small warehouse where you can experience the fun of glass blowing and learn tips and techniques to create a truly one of a kind work of art.

Make Something Unique

The first decision you’ll have to make when you arrive at Burnt Glassworks, is what do you want to make! You can look through the choices on their website ahead of time, but when you get to the studio, you’ll be able to actually see the different options. Burnt Glassworks offers everything from paperweights, to cups and bowls to seasonal favorites like ornaments or glass pumpkins.

Once you’ve decided what you want to make, you’ll pick your colors. Burnt Glassworks has lots of different containers of colored glass for you to pick from. Whether you prefer a solid or combination of your favorite team colors, they’ve got plenty to choose from.

Make Your Own Ornament

Since glassblowing can be very dangerous due to the high heat involved, your instructor at Burnt Glassworks will walk you through each step slowly and with great detail. One of the things we noticed right away was how warm the warehouse was due to the high heat needed to melt and mold glass. This is definitely an activity that we recommend for the winter months.

Due to the nature of glass blowing, you’ll have to wait 24 hours before picking up your finished piece so that it has plenty of time to cool. We loved trying out Burnt Glassworks as a fun and different date night idea.
