If you’re looking for the ultimate way to beat the Florida heat, look no further than the Shipwreck Island Water Park at Adventure Landing in Jacksonville Beach. Our family spent a sun-soaked afternoon there recently, and it quickly earned a spot on our must-do summer list. From heart-racing slides to slow-floating relaxation, there’s something for every water-lover in the family.

Adventure for Everyone
As soon as we arrived, our teens rushed straight for the waterslides—no surprise there! The park’s Hydro Half-Pipe and Ragin’ Rapids were huge hits, serving up speed, twists, and splash-filled thrills. If your crew loves a bit of adrenaline, they’ll find plenty of excitement weaving through the colorful slides.
Meanwhile, mom and dad found their happy place in the Lil’ St. Johns Lazy River, a perfectly mellow way to enjoy the sunshine. We relaxed and took it all in—cool water, blue skies, and the sounds of summer all around. The wave pool offered another way to cool down, with gentle swells perfect for floating or playing without needing to brave the bigger slides.

There’s Lots To Do at Adventure Landing
One of the things we loved most about the waterpark was how easy it was to find something for every age and energy level. Little ones can splash safely in the pirate’s play village, a shallow pool filled with interactive features, mini slides, and water cannons. Families can stick together or branch off for different kinds of fun, and lifeguards are always close by, keeping things safe and smooth.
While the waterpark was the highlight of our day, Adventure Landing offers so much more beyond the slides and splash zones. After drying off, you can take your pick from go-karts, mini golf, laser tag, and batting cages. There’s also an indoor arcade packed with classic games and new favorites, a teddy bear stuffing station, and even a spot to feed baby alligators—yes, really! And if your family has a sweet tooth like ours, the candy shop is the perfect place to grab a treat before heading home.

Beat the Heat in Jacksonville
Whether you’re planning a birthday party, a family outing, or just a spontaneous summer escape, Adventure Landing’s waterpark is a must-visit destination in Jacksonville Beach. It’s an affordable, high-energy spot where you can cool off, have fun, and make some unforgettable memories with your family.
We left with wet towels, full hearts, and promises to come back again before summer ends.
