I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a Toys R Us Kid… (insert crying emoji). As kids of the 80s & 90s, going to Toys R Us at Christmas time was basically like getting a personal tour of the North Pole. Except there was no Santa Clause, just Geoffrey, the friendly, toy-loving giraffe. Well, RIP Geoffrey, because Toys R Us was one of the most recent retailers to close its doors this past June. While it’s very tempting to finish our Holiday shopping from the comfort of our sofa and jammies (we’re looking at you, Amazon) you can’t replace the fun that comes with browsing through a cute little shop, for unique toys you wouldn’t be able to find at a big box retailer. Never fear, we have some fantastic local toy stores for you to check out this holiday season.
